Maryland Winter - Nature

We finally got snow here after all of those "winter storm warnings." The morning after, I figured I should take a photo walk before the snow melted away...

Grace Alexandra - Newborn

I have known Erin the longest out of anyone here in Maryland. I was lucky enough to meet her back when my husband and I were still just dating, then engaged, then married. She's been one of my closest friends here, when she got pregnant I was very excited for her and her husband.

He will be deploying this spring and she wanted to have some photos taken of her while she was still very young. So, when she asked if I could take her daughter's 6 week pictures I was honored!

Without further adeiu, may I present...

All these photos make her look so cute and innocent, everything you could want from a 6wk old... but for some reason, I really like this one:

Maybe it's the fact that, well... it's real life.
Babies cry.

Jeremy & Lauren - Engagement Shoot

Jeremy had worked with my husband for a couple years and they became good friends. In September Jeremy was told he would be doing a 1yr unaccompanied tour of duty in Japan. He was already engaged to Lauren, but their big wedding wasn't planned until next year (2011). They decided to get married in a civil ceremony with just their family present- they will however still be having their large wedding celebration next year- white dress/dress blues, the works.

Lauren found out he would be coming home for Christmas and asked if I could take pictures for them as a "late" engagement/save the date photo session. Of course I said yes! We even had a light snowfall... made the day beautiful.

Guinea Pigs & Pumpkins - Pets

These are "my boys" Twix & Beans... they tend to have their photos taken when I randomly have a new idea.

Here are their "fall photos:"

Around DC - Urban

We currently live about 45min from the nation's capital... you'd think I would have seen everything there is to see, but you'd be wrong. I think you could live in the city itself and never see it all. These shots were taken in October, sadly the weather had been overcast and cloudy for two weeks straight so the colors are kind of off...

Maryland Fall - Nature

Just a few snapshots from around the neighborhood.

Sonny & Sara - Family Shoot

I met Sara about a year before I moved out here, shortly after I arrived I met her husband. These two are great and were super easy to work with! Even baby Riley managed a couple of smiles for us. I especially love the ones of her and daddy.
